^^ My first "debut" wasn't exactly melodious either. You'll find that as you start along this road as a pianist, there'll be many moments of embarassment where you feel like all you wanna do is bury your head in the ground or just melt into a puddle of unnoticeable goo. I still go through major embarassments when playing. Just tell yourself: "It's not as embarassing as it seems. I'm just feeling it, that's all. Nobody's making a real deal out of it." Think about it. If you were in the congregation and the pianist played horribly or got mistakes, all you'd think is: "Aiyoh. Haha." And then you forget about it. Right? That's what goes through everybody's mind also. So it's really not as bad as it seems. Embrace it! That's all I can say haha. Learn from it and move on ya. As Miss Kathleen Fong told me: "It's alright to make a few mistakes in your entire life." when I got so malu when I made a mistake playing for her.
